The latest round of upgrades to the Gamefroot Game Creator have been added! Check it out here. This latest release brings you a bunch of important new features that make it a whole lot easier to create awesome games.
Here are the important additions to Gamefroot version 1.3
- Game scripting overhauled – The UI of the Advanced Behavior Editor has been updated, and Scripts are now independent of items (and can be painted on!)
- Added script instances – Each script can now have many instances, which is helpful for variations on a particular script, and for scripts that reference each other.
- Quick sidebar access to your scripts – Now the Behaviors palette holds all of your Scripts/Advanced Behaviors, which can be painted on to items.
- Filter games by likes and plays – You can browse games sorted by Likes or Plays on this page
- Ability to zoom in and out – Helpful for navigating large levels.
- Ability to add your own graphics to the Marketplace – You can now share your assets with all Gamefroot users.
- Ability to change player hit boxes – you can tweak the size of your player hitbox to fit custom sprites.
- Easier to add game assets to your palette – you no longer have to drag packs across, now you just hover over the pack
- Added game templates – Much easier easier to start making games with our pre-made levels
The ability to export your PUBLISHED games for iPhone is available but we have not yet released the Apple Xcode 4 source code. As a paying Gamefroot member you will have the ability to turn your game into an iPhone game. You’ll just have to be patient while we prepare this.
